Daniel Townsend, PhD
Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Daniel Townsend is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Loretta Health, a digital health company building AI-driven tools to help health systems close inequities in chronic disease care. Loretta’s platform integrates clinical, behavioural, and social data to identify risk patterns in cardiovascular and diabetes outcomes and support fairer, data-informed care decisions.
Daniel’s career spans health technology, global health policy, and data science. He has worked with the World Health Organization and the Global Fund, where he coordinated multilateral policy engagement and cross-sector partnerships in digital and community health. As a health system strategist, he has advised governments and public agencies on how to embed accountability and equity in the use of data and machine learning.
His earlier experience includes work in consulting, policy, and analytics, with roles at the Boston Consulting Group, Canada’s federal and provincial health agencies, where he helped modernize frameworks for performance measurement and population health planning.

Kya Blackstone, JD
Chief Operating Officer
Kya Blackstone serves as Chief Operating Officer of Loretta Health, where she drives operational strategy, regulatory readiness, and execution across the company’s UK and EU markets.
A trained lawyer with a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University, Kya spent nearly a decade in finance at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, leading cross-functional initiatives to streamline legal and operational workflows, strengthen compliance systems, and improve efficiency across global teams.
Her leadership combines design thinking with operational precision—aligning people, process, and product to scale responsibly, accelerate growth, and ensure strategic clarity across Loretta’s institutional partnerships and pilots.

Michael Ray Albrecht
Head of Business Development
Michael Ray Albrecht is the Head of Business Development at Loretta Health, where he drives strategic partnerships to expand equitable access to Loretta’s digital health platform. His work focuses on connecting health systems and community organizations to ensure that Loretta supports fairer outcomes in chronic disease care.
Michael’s career spans luxury brand leadership, retail strategy, and nonprofit engagement, united by a commitment to cultural storytelling and inclusive innovation. He has held senior roles at Louis Vuitton, IWC Schaffhausen and Meissen and served as CEO in the premium retail sector. At the Berlin Chamber of Commerce (IHK) he supported startups and workforce solutions, helping to connect emerging ventures with institutional partners.
In addition Michael served for several years as a Member of the Advisory Board at Ideas in Motion, an NGO supporting start-ups in Rwanda, where he contributed to initiatives fostering entrepreneurship and cross-sector collaboration.
As a strategist and creative leader, Michael combines expertise in brand development, cross-border collaboration, and digital health equity. His international experience across Europe positions him to advance Loretta’s mission of embedding fairness, accessibility, and cultural resonance into the future of healthcare.

Head of Product
Amita Singh is the Head of Product at Loretta Health, bringing deep expertise in product strategy, AI integration, and engineering. As the Founder and CEO of Thread, an AI-powered translation startup, she led the development of scalable systems that bridged language barriers in real-time, empowering global teams and communities to connect effortlessly.
With an engineering background and an interdisciplinary master’s degree in engineering focused on IoT, Amita is completing her PhD in Production and Operations Management at Brandenburg Technical University in Germany. She also has industry experience consulting for Tata Motors, where she worked on engineering workflows and technology integration. Her cross-disciplinary experience spans advanced manufacturing, AI-driven automation, and human-centered product development.
At Loretta Health, she brings her entrepreneurial mindset and passion for impactful technology to revolutionize patient engagement and care experiences, leading product innovation with vision and empathy.
